Purpose

At Pages for Young Ages, we believe every child deserves the joy of reading. Founded by Miles Leo Cohen and Nicholas Thien Le Weinhauer, Pages for Young Ages is a Bay Area student-led initiative committed to fostering a love of books and closing the literacy gap for children in under-resourced families and communities. Through projects like our community book drives and "Make a Book Come True" campaigns, we work to empower the next generation with the gift of reading.

Daly City Book Drive March 12 - April 12

Pages for Young Ages is hosting a book drive in partnership with Daly City Library to secure books for Reach Out & Read.

Reach Out & Read is a non-profit student led organization dedicated to promoting early childhood literacy through reading aloud and access to books.

Reach Out & Read is especially in need of:

📖 Bilingual children's books
✨ Culturally diverse and inclusive picture books
🧸 Board books for infants and toddlers
🔤 Early reader books for preschool and elementary-age children

Redwood City Book Drive March 23 - April 24

Pages for Young Ages is hosting a book drive in partnership with Redwood City Teen Advisory Board to secure books for the Children's Book Project.

The Children's Book Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting literacy equity in under-resourced communities throughout the Bay Area.

The Children’s Book Project is especially in need of:

📖 Books in Spanish (all ages)
✨ Books featuring characters of color (all ages)
🧸 Board books
🔤 Beginning readers
📚 Chapter books
🎨 Graphic novels
📚 Teen novels

San Carlos Book Drive March 23 - April 24

Pages for Young Ages is hosting a book drive in partnership with San Carlos Youth Advisory Council to secure books for Peninsula Bridge and Reach Out & Read.

Peninsula Bridge is a non-profit that empowers first generation, low-income students to achieve college and career success through individualized support. Reach Out & Read is a non-profit student led organization dedicated to promoting early childhood literacy through reading aloud and access to books.

Peninsula Bridge & Reach Out & Read are especially in need of:

📖 Bilingual children's books
✨ Culturally diverse and inclusive picture books
🧸 Board books for infants and toddlers
🔤 Early reader books for preschool and elementary-age children
📚 Chapter books for 4th - 8th grades
